Carla Skodinski is vice president and chief investment officer of Van Beuren Management, Inc. Prior to joining Van Beuren, she was director of investments at The Rockefeller University. She previously spent 12 years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Principal Investment Area and several years in the Latin American Investment Bank of Citibank, N.A. Skodinski, a certified public accountant, received her AB from Mount Holyoke College and her MBA from Columbia School of Business.
She is treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the American Farmland Trust and a member of the Board of Directors of The Eye Bank for Sight Restoration. She serves on the investment committees of Mount Holyoke College (Private Equity Sub-Committee), Skidmore College (vice chair), the American Council of Learned Societies, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Polish American Freedom Foundation, Saratoga (NY) Hospital (chair) and Pro Mujer/Programs for Women (chair), a nonprofit micro-enterprise and training program operating in Latin America, having previously been treasurer of the Board of Directors for over a decade. She is also on the Advisory Committee of Commonfund Capital.
