Past Fellowship and Grant Programs

ACLS no longer offers the following programs. Program descriptions are provided for information purposes.

• ACLS Collaborative Research Fellowships. The final competition year for the ACLS Collaborative Research Fellowship program was 2017-18.
• ACLS Digital Innovation Fellowships.  The final competition for this program was held in 2014-15.   The ACLS Digital Extension Grant program furthers ACLS support of digitally based research in the humanities and related social sciences.
• Charles A. Ryskamp Research Fellowships. The tenth and final competition for this program was held in 2014-15.
• ACLS New Faculty Fellows program. The final competition for this program was held in 2012-13.
• The American Research in the Humanities in China Program is now part of the Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Program in China Studies. 
• ACLS has suspended its fellowship program in East Europe studies.  Two other activities assisted by ACLS continue to support humanities scholarship on and in the region:  the quarterly journal East European Politics & Societies and Cultures and the conventions organized by MAG, the International Association for the Humanities (MAG is the transliteration of the Cyrilic acronym).
• ACLS Humanities Program in Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine. The final grant competition for this program was held in 2011-12 and was administered in cooperation with MAG.
