Kelly Buttermore is grants officer and budget analyst at ACLS. In this capacity, she oversees the Council’s portfolio of foundation grants and restricted funds ($30+ million in FY2019) and manages proposals, reporting, and post-award processes such as budget modifications, rollovers, and no-cost extensions. She serves as a critical link between ACLS program and finance staff and as the primary point of contact with foundation grant administrators. Kelly works directly with the President, Vice President, and Director of Finance on the development and presentation of the Council’s annual budget, which totaled over $35 million for FY2019. She also provides programmatic and budgetary support to ACLS’s subsidiary, the Center for Educational Exchange with Vietnam (CEEVN).

Buttermore joined the ACLS staff in 2003. She received a BA in history from Mount Holyoke College. When not administering grants, she can be found performing and teaching improvisational comedy in New York and around the country as one-half of the comedy duo From Justin to Kelly.
