ACLS Digital Justice Grantee Jane Landers Presents TEDx Talk on Slave Societies Digital Archive

Jane Landers G’22, G’16, F’13 presented a TEDx talk in Nashville on “The race to save endangered African history across the Atlantic World,” focusing on her research and work on the Slave Societies Digital Archive.
Landers is the Gertrude Conaway Vanderbilt Professor of History at Vanderbilt University and a 2022 ACLS Digital Justice Development Grantee working on the project “Recruiting and Training the Next Generation of Slave Societies Digital Archive (SSDA) Scholars.” She is a member of UNESCO’s International Scientific Committee for the Slave Route Project. She was previously awarded an ACLS Digital Extension Grant and an ACLS Fellowship.
