- The Terrible We: Thinking with Trans Maladjustment by Cameron Awkward-Rich F’20 has been named a finalist in the Transgender Nonfiction category for the 35th Annual Lambda Literary Awards.
- The Good School podcast, created by Beth Baunoch F’20 and her students at Community College of Baltimore County, is featured in Inside Higher Ed. Student journalists investigate the complexities of higher education through the podcast, including the admissions process, prestige, college rankings, and faculty hierarchy.
- Deborah A. Boehm F’19, F’13 published an op-ed in The Sacramento Bee on the brutality immigrants face when detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
- Deborah A. Cohen F’08 has been awarded the Mark Lynton History Prize for her book Last Call at the Hotel Imperial: The Reporters Who Took on a World at War.
- Johnnetta Betsch Cole, 2021 Charles Homer Haskins Prize Lecturer, was awarded a 2021 National Humanities Medal by President Biden in a March 2023 ceremony.

- Kim Gallon F’15 and Esther Armah launched The Black Frontline, an oral history project and website chronicling the experiences of Black health care workers from around the world during the COVID-19 pandemic.
- President Biden appointed Risa L. Goluboff F’12 to a federal committee documenting the history of the US Supreme Court.
- The Poetry Society of America named Evie Shockley F’07 the winner of the 2023 Shelley Memorial Award, which recognizes “poetic genius and is bestowed upon one distinguished American poet each year.”
