Abstract

Using data archives from multi-method field research conducted in Komsomolsk (now Horishni Plavni), Ukraine, in the early 2000s, this project will unlock vital stories from these archives as Russia's violence continues in Ukraine. This project follows other US scholars like Katherine Verdery and Kristen Ghodsee, who have written books that re-examine their fieldwork experiences, revealing the relevance and importance of looking back with an evolved lens that sees new dimensions in past research.
