The ICMA realizes its mission by publishing the scholarly journal GESTA and a series of monographs on medieval art; coordinating conference sessions, symposia, and celebrations related to medieval art; maintaining a publicly accessible website (www.medievalart.org); and producing a Newsletter responsive to the global interests of its membership. The organization is headquartered in New York City, at The Cloisters, the branch museum of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
